About Tamara Bunke
Tamara Bunke (1937-1967), better known as “Tania”, was an Argentine-born East German communist revolutionary and spy for the Cuban government. She considered Che Guevara as a hero of hers, and she was the only woman who fought alongside his guerillas during the Bolivian Insurgency. Her intelligence, strong will, stamina and linguistic skills made her an excellent spy, but as a person, Tania was always described as gracious, beautiful, and kind.
